It’s Okay to Pause and Reset

Hello friends,

I know it’s been a while since I’ve written. The last time I shared a blog was in December, and honestly, I’ve missed connecting with you. But I’ve also learned something important during this break: sometimes we need to step back so we can move forward.

Life has truly been “life-ing.” And in the middle of it all, I realized I needed to practice what I teach. I needed to pause, reset, and reflect on my own journey. I needed to go inward, find my direction again, and allow myself the space to become a better version of who I was created to be.

So that’s exactly what I did.

I want you to know something, just because I coach, encourage, and pour into others doesn’t mean I don’t have moments when I need the same. I’m human too. I get tired. I get overwhelmed. I have seasons when I need to slow down, breathe, and realign my heart and mind. And that’s okay.

It’s okay to step away for a moment and pour back into yourself. It’s okay to turn inward and reconnect with your inner strength, the part of you that needs rest, nurturing, and encouragement. Sometimes we spend so much time inspiring and motivating others that we forget we need those same things for ourselves.

Over the past few months, I’ve leaned into the things that refill me: my faith in God, honest conversations with one or two trusted people, and quiet moments of stillness to hear that small inner voice guiding me. Those simple practices helped me find clarity and peace again.

What are the things that help you reset?

I want to encourage you today to take time for self-care. Check in with yourself. Make sure YOU are okay. You spend so much of your life showing up for others, don’t forget to show up for yourself too. We can’t pour from empty cups. And sometimes the strongest thing we can do is pause long enough to refill.

I’m grateful to be back, and I’m excited to continue this journey with you.

With love and purpose,

Terri
